Girls In Tech Event
As you already know, hosting an event isn't as simple as just turning up.
I covered the lead up promotion, support during and follow up post event.
This was never going to be a one off event, each area was crucial for the partnership with Girls In Tech from communication to branding.
I wanted to impress for future meet ups, sponsorships and collaborations.
STEP 1.
ANNOUNCEMENT!
Time to get the word out there, I put together multiple co-branded images to send over to Girls In Tech and got to work on my scheduling over multiple social media platforms, as well as creating an email campaign to broadcast our partnership!
37.5% open rate - compared to our average of 32.5%💁🏻♀️.
STEP 2.
PUSHHHH!
I had a date, a plan & a goal.
100 sign-ups.
Over a month period I pushed out multiple email campaigns, promo videos, GIFs & Images to highlight the event as well as promote it through the company workforce to reach a larger and targeted network via LinkedIn.
And without a doubt, I did it, 116 sign-ups💪.
STEP 3.
Post-Event follow up.
The event itself was a massive success, the chat box was as lively as questions were flying in🪁.
So time to utilise all that content!
As the event was all recorded I was able to chop up and edit the video a short series to be posted on our socials & YouTube channel in the hope to spike interest in our events in the future and the upcoming Girls In Tech partnership projects.
P.s. from a follow-up, 100% of attendees who filled out our survey said they found the event helpful😁.
